What is KP-TNC?

KP-TNC  is a regional umbrella body that  unites National Key Population Consortia, Secretariats and Forums from Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Zanzibar, Nigeria, Ghana and Malawi. KP-TNC creates a regional community that fosters best practices in governance, advocacy and coordination in  collaborating with governments and stakeholders, resourcing for programme funding, addressing structural barriers,  crisis prevention and response and ensuring that KPs access quality health and HIV services.

Vision of KP-TNC

Key Populations in Eastern, Western and Southern Africa have their human rights respected and are able to access HIV, healthcare and other services without fear of stigma or discrimination.

Mission of KP-TNC

KP communities are meaningfully engaged in human rights, health and HIV programming at all levels in their countries. 

Objectives of KP-TNC

● Strengthening of KP Consortia Communities of practice that foster collaborative approaches with CSOs, Governments and Stakeholders while fostering democracy, answerability and accountability. 

● Strengthening the advocacy capacities of Key Population Consortia in target countries to improve HIV and healthcare services for key populations. 

● Strengthening the advocacy for resource allocation for KP service delivery in focus countries.

● Building the capacities of the KP consortia to combat criminalization and negative effects of the proliferating anti-rights and anti gender groups and agenda.
