Meaningful involvement of Key Populations

Meaningful and greater involvement of people living and affected by HIV underlines the MIPA and GIPA principles. This ensures that those directly targeted by interventions are not only mere recipients but also become protagonists of the intended change being worked upon on themselves.

In this aspect, KP-TNC works at a regional level to ensure that there is a widened global space for the involvement of the KP community at the WHO, UNAIDS, African Union and other multi and bi-lateral spaces  including the Regional Economic Communities and all spaces that matter. At country levels, best practices are promoted for the KP consortia to engage with their own governments, PEPFAR and GFATM country mechanisms on all fronts including implementing KP-CLMs, effective participation in CCMs, TWGs etc. At both country and regional levels KP-TNC ensures that the KP community is able to effectively engage in ongoing and new topics on  public health.
